In April 2022 on our way to Portland (Vic) we joined the Great Ocean Road at Princetown, so we could visit the 12 Apostles and a couple of other coastal rock features, heading west.

12 Apostles

The coast here is actively being eroded and some of the Apostles have fallen, so there are no longer 12.

Loch Ard Gorge

A little further west along the Great Ocen Road, you come to Loch Ard George, a series of bays, cliffed headlands and sea stacks. Here you can go down to water level in the main george.

There are several nearby lookouts to view the different bays and sea stacks.

London Bridge

(has fallen down). London Bridge (west of Port Campbell) is one of the famous formations along the coast. Some years ago the main part of the bridge collapsed, showing how active the erosion of the soft limestone cliffs is.
