Sydney has a fantastic Harbour Foreshores National Park. There are some great short walks, just for a morning or afternoon stroll or as a fantastic way to show off Sydney and it harbour to visitors.  Here are a few bits, collected from a couple of different walks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not only is Sydney Harbour spectacular, but the other major waterways als have great appeal. Some walks on other foreshores are here as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Spit Bridge to Manly walk<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

The spit bridge end of this walk has all the bustle of seaside life for the first little bit, before the pace relaxes into the walk proper. About 9 Kms each way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Castle rock<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Climb up a bit and walk along from Clontarf point to Castle Rock, past a few beaches. Stop for dip if you want.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wildlife<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Keep an eye out for any wild life. Bush turkey and water dragons can be found.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grotto Point<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Another side trip will take you to the lighthouse at Grotto point. Sydney Harbour has a few of these lights, warning shipping of the rocky points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dobroyd Head,  and the “shacks”<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Dobroyd Head has a few old shacks facing into Crater Cove. Another interesting bit of history, as is the story of Arabanoo. Divert up into the park to visit Arabanoo lookout, with views to Manly and of the Harbour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reef Beach to Manly<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

If its hot, have a swim at Reef beach before you head around past 40 Baskets Beach to Manly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
