While visiting the NSW South Coast town of Moruya, a beautiful winters day saw us do a short out and back from Mullimburra Point to Bingi Bing Point. This walk provides a sample of the Bingi Dreaming coastal walk from Congo to Tuross. We didn’t have another car to do the car shuffle needed for the whole walk. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Bingi Dreaming track is a 14 km coastal walk that follows the ancient Song Lines of the Yuin Aboriginal people, from Congo south to Tuross. Often a car shuffle is needed, so we selected the short middle section from Mullimburra Point to Bingi Bingi, and did this as an out and back. Its only about 3 Km each way but provides a very good sample of the coastal landscapes and scenery. You can vary the walking terrain by using the beach as part of the excellent loop track from Bingi Bingi to Kellys Lake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bingi Bingi is supposedly a good whale watching location and I imagine Mullimburra Point is too, though we were not quite in the right season and didn’t spot any.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There is a small carpark at Mullimburra Head just back from the beach, which looks north back to Congo. Walking back up the road and soon the Bingi Dreaming Track from Congo crosses the road and a left turn starts you on the path. <\/p>\n\n\n
